Lake Mburo National Park is the perfect destination for the enthusiastic naturalist.
You will make a stop at the equator in Kayabwe – Masaka road, to take photographs and pay a brief visit to the crafts shops in the area where you can purchase souvenirs – crafts and handiwork made from traditional raw materials to remind you of your visit to the Pearl of Africa. You will also do an experiment which proves that the imaginary line dividing the world into two halves is in the place where you will be standing. You will continue with your journey to the Western Uganda, driving through massive Savannah grasslands and green hills dotted with modest homes, herds of long-horned Ankole cattle and plantations which are endemic to this region of the country.
Upon arriving at Lake Mburo National Park, you will head out for a game drive with ATP-Tour guide and a professional armed wildlife game ranger. The deliberately slow drive will take between 2-3 hours allowing you to not only spot but capture amazing scenery of the wildlife in motion on camera and video. You will be able to see massive herds of ‘impalas’, burcell’s zebras, various antelope species, buffalos, leopards, warthogs and lions.
After having your lunch, your safari excursion will continue with a boat cruise on the famous Lake Mburo. While on the lake, you will be able to spot a number of crocodiles, lots of breeding hippos, and a variety of bird species including the rare Shoebill stork.
After the boat cruise, you will take a brief nature walk and conclude your 1 day Lake Mburo National Park Safari Tour with the gathering dusk. You will drive out of the park and head back to Kampala. Our driver-guide will drop you at a location convenient for you in Kampala or drive you to Entebbe airport to be in time for your flight. The ATP-Tours guide will answer your questions tirelessly all through your trip and give you information on more safari packages.
